John Bercow has employed Tim Hames, formerly of The Times, as his public relations adviser.  Tim's first political job?  Helping a 19 year old J Gough draft his Oxford University Student Union Vice Presidential hustings speech...this was about 22 years ago.

I hope he is more successful now than he was then - I polled about 9% of the vote!
